After so many new features revealed, we can finally announce the improvements to one of the most important aspects of the game: scouting.
For many, it's simply the most captivating feature of the game. Who wouldn't want to be the first to discover the next Cristiano Ronaldo?
On top of that, it's vital to have a high quality scouting setup when you want to play a saves that lasts a long time.
You need to keep refreshing the squad so it doesn't get too old.
On the other hand, a high potential player can be the difference between a sustainable future and financial chaos. They are stores of value we have on hand if our finances aren't in good health.
Scouting reports are how scouts communicate with us. They need to be accurate and thorough to help us make the right decision on whether or not to go ahead with a signing.

In FM20, reports are more detailed, with charts and comparisons with other players.
As you can see, there is now better colour coding to make analysis easier and decisions simpler and quicker. Essential for anyone receiving dozens of reports.
We will also receive reminders about scouting.
When player reports go out of date, we'll get a reminder to check how the player has developed since the last report. Who knows, maybe he had a serious injury that will delay his development? Or was trained in a new position?
When a scout leaves the club, the department suffers. All their knowledge and the information they gathered is lost, which could mean losing potential targets.
In FM 20, to avoid total losses, the assignments of scouts who leave the club are immediately handed to someone in the scouting team, who carries on with the task in progress.
Still on this subject, whenever we take charge of a club, we can access the scouting reports made by the scouting department before we arrived.
The head of the department will get in touch and explain the assignments and reports available.
This lets us focus on areas that were not yet covered.
FM19 introduced the general focus for each scouting assignment. In this new edition, we can set multiple focuses for each assignment and set a deadline for it.
Another change is the option to customise the scouting and analysis columns and prioritise the information we want to see in each report.
