Over the past week, several new features were announced by Sports Interactive for their upcoming edition, which will be revealed to the public at the end of October.

Recommendations from the coaching staff
Football Manager keeps relentlessly refining the relationship between the manager and the rest of the coaching staff. Not only have new roles been regularly addedto make the game feel more and more realistic, but they now also offer more detailed informationabout everything happening at the club.
In FM 20, we'll now receive, as part of the essential pre-match information, a starting XI chosen by the staff along with their reasoning behind it.
Reasons which include form, how well suited they are to the chosen role, the qualities that make players a good fit for the position, or their ability, among other factors.
We can simply accept the staff's suggestions, either entirely, or just partially. However, if you have an epiphany right before kick-off, don't worry. You can always change your mind, no problem at all.
Individual advice from our staff will also be available at any time on the tactics screen. To do this, you just need to tap the top of the screen on 'selection advice', choosing which staff member you want that information from.
In this edition of Football Manager, the entire feedback system has been improved
One example is the ability to select any specific 'square' on your tactics board, giving you access to an in-depth analysis of the factors that might be affecting it, and possible solutions to strengthen the players occupying those areas.
Responsibilities are becoming increasingly important and hands-on in how you managethe coaching staff working with you. Gradually, more areas of the game are placed in 'our hands', for us to decide whether we take control ourselves or simply delegate to a trusted staff member.
To make this possible, new roles have been added to coaching staffs.
The Technical Director, also known as the Team Manager, who focuses on the game's administrative side and on the rest of the coaching staff, giving the user information about their tasks and development, or even suggesting courses to take to boost their abilities.
As a result, staff development becomes just as essential in FM as individual player development used to be.
That same development area will get a new role. The Player Development Coordinator.
This is a fairly recent role in the football world, created to meet clubs' need to keep an eye on the growing number of loaned-out players. He'll provide a list of players who, in his view, would benefit from going out on loan. He'll also take on the job of producing reports on their development, not just on the pitch, but also on their satisfaction levels and state of mind off it.
