The FM27 License Fix by FM Scout is one of the most complete name fixes for Football Manager 2027, and it has been around since 2013. Clubs, competitions and awards with fake names get their real names back, and club and competition names work in your current save.
What it fixes
- Clubs: every playable club on every continent, plus the clubs of the top European leagues that are not playable.
- Competitions: the major leagues, almost all minor leagues and the national and continental cups.
- Awards: continental awards get their official names.
- Brazil and Japan: for example, Brazilian clubs get their full names and kits back, and Japanese clubs return.
- Germany: Vincent Kompany and the German national teams’ staff get the right names.
- Arsenal: 20 extra academy players, including Max Dowman.

- First, close the game.
- Extract the pack to a folder. Keep
auto-install.batand the two .lnc files together. - Double-click
auto-install.bat. If it cannot delete some files, right-click it and choose «Run as administrator». - The installer finds FM27 on Steam, Epic or Xbox Game Pass, deletes the licensing files and copies the two FM Scout files to the right folder.
- Finally, start a new save to get the full fix.
Manual install and Mac
On Mac, or if you prefer to do it by hand, open the game’s shared\data\database\db\2700 folder. Then delete the licensing files, the ones that swap real names for fake ones when you start a career. Finally, copy the two .lnc files from the pack into lnc\all. The FM Scout page has the full list and explains what each file does.

Things to watch
Game updates and Steam’s «Verify integrity of game files» option put the deleted files back, so run auto-install.bat again after every update. Also, some clubs still show the wrong name while you set up a career, but they are correct once you start playing.
