Because of licensing, Football Manager 27 still has fake names for several clubs and competitions. Braga shows up as «BRG», for example, and the Spanish league appears as «First Division». With the Passion4FM FM27 Real Names Fix, you play with the real names, and the best part is that you do not need to start a new save.
What it fixes
- Clubs: removes abbreviations and fake names, such as BRG to Braga or VIZ to Vizela.
- Competitions: uses the real names, sponsors included, such as LaLiga EA Sports, Allsvenskan or Copa Libertadores.
- Cups and international competitions: fixes continental and national competitions across the world.
- Stadiums: for example, Spotify Camp Nou.
- Awards: new this year, with player awards in England, Spain and European competitions.
It also fixes clubs in leagues that are not playable, such as the main European leagues left out of the game. To see which leagues have official names, check our list of FM27 playable and licensed leagues.

Extra fixes
Some issues cannot be solved by the file alone, because they depend on the game’s own files. The Passion4FM guide explains how to delete those files in the install folder:
- Milan, Inter and Lazio: get their real names back.
- Germany, Netherlands and Japan national teams: no longer have fake players.
- Brazilian clubs: lose the three-letter abbreviations and get their kits.
These three fixes require a new save, so they are worth doing before your main career. Finally, read the readme file that comes with the pack.
The files are hosted by their original authors. FMPortugal only points to the official download page — all credit goes to their creators.
