The FM27 photorealistic faces swap the game’s 14,000 generated portraits for realistic photos made with artificial intelligence. The mod, made by amnesix-nt, changes the faces of newgens, staff, coaches and agents, and doubles the resolution from 128 to 256 pixels. Everyone also keeps their skin tone, hairstyle, hair colour and beard.

What the FM27 photorealistic faces change
- Generated portraits only: real players with official photos stay the same, and so do the black silhouettes.
- Any save: it works with your existing saves and new ones, without touching the database.
- Facepack friendly: for example, if you give a newgen a face through the
graphics/facesfolder, your image takes priority. - Sharper: faces are now 256 pixels, so they look better on profiles and big screens.
However, since 14,000 faces were made automatically, a few mistakes may slip through, such as a different skin tone or hairstyle. In other words, it is worth checking your youngsters now and then.

The version is 1.0, from 1 November, and the file is about 500 MB. It works with FM27 on Steam, on Windows, and you need about 600 MB of free space. The link comes from the author’s GitHub.

- First, close FM27 completely.
- Then extract the file anywhere and open
INSTALL.bat. The installer finds the game, backs up the original files and installs the mod. - Next, in FM27’s Preferences, turn on the option to use pre-generated images of players and staff instead of dynamically generated ones.
- Finally, restart the game once. The new faces show up everywhere.
Things to watch
When Steam updates the game, it restores the original files. So after every update, run INSTALL.bat again. To uninstall, run UNINSTALL.bat with the game closed and everything goes back to the original. Also, the mod is new and still has few downloads.
