Comeback Skin FM27 – FM24’s sidebar is back, by FM Extra Time

2 min read

Miss FM24’s sidebar? The Comeback Skin FM27 brings it back: the menu runs down the left again, with one click to every screen, in black and gold. It takes nothing away from FM27 either, as the game’s own menus stay at the bottom of the sidebar. The skin is by FM Extra Time, it is free and it is on version 1.1.

What the Comeback Skin FM27 brings

  • FM24’s sidebar: the menu sits on the left instead of across the top, like in FM24.
  • One click, no dropdowns: 18 links take you straight to the screens you use most, from the squad to finances.
  • Nothing left out: FM27’s own menus, with all their options, stay at the bottom of the sidebar.
  • Black and gold: a dark top bar, charcoal panels, gold titles and a gold «Continue» button.
  • No wallpaper: the big competition picture behind every screen is gone, so everything is easier to read.

For example, the sidebar brings together the squad, tactics, training, medical centre, schedule, scouting, transfers and finances, so you rarely need the top menus.

Version 1.1 added a black loading screen and a tidier start screen with dark tiles and no video guides banner.

Comeback Skin FM27 download

Download – Comeback Skin FM27 v1.1

How to install:
  1. First, right-click the .zip and choose «Extract All». Do not run anything from inside the .zip.
  2. Then close FM27 and run Install.bat. It finds the game, backs up the original files and installs the skin.
  3. If Windows warns you, click «More info» and then «Run anyway».
  4. Finally, open FM27. To go back to the original look, run Restore.bat.

Things to watch

This version is for FM27 as it was in October 2026, so the game’s full release on 10 November will need a new version of the skin. It only works on Windows and does not change your saves. Also, do not combine it with other skins that change the same files, such as the Grok Skin, which also adds a sidebar. If you like the work, FM Extra Time accepts donations to keep the skin updated.

The files are hosted by their original authors. FMPortugal only points to the official download page — all credit goes to their creators.
