Due to licensing, Football Manager 26 comes with fake names for several competitions, clubs and awards. With a name fix you play with the real names. Here are the three versions the community uses most, so just pick one.
sortitoutsi: FM26 Real Name Fix
Version 5.0, compatible with FM26.3.1 (updated on 26/05/2026). It is the community's most downloaded fix. Club names only change if you apply the file before you start a new game. For saves already in progress, follow the alternative procedure explained in the first post of the thread.

A very complete fix, available since 2013. You don't need to start a new save for it to take effect (except for Brazilian clubs).

- Download only one of the fixes above.
- Follow the instructions on the author's page, as the installation folder depends on your version of the game (Steam, Epic or Game Pass).
- Every time an official FM26 patch comes out, apply the fix again, because Steam restores some of the original files.
