Still playing FM24? Then ReSeason is for you. It is a free add-on that starts your career in August 2026, in a football world that remembers the last two years. So the history already has the 2024 to 2026 winners, the 2026 World Cup, the latest Ballon d’Or podiums and where every player spent the last two seasons. In other words, it is the season FM27 will cover, on the FM24 you already own.
ReSeason is by Redcode9, who still plays FM24 and built it for his own career. The first version came out on 30 October 2026, and 1.0.4, the latest, on 6 November.

What ReSeason adds
ReSeason builds on the FM24 2026/27 season update, which already handles squads, transfers and contracts. On top of that, it adds what was missing:
- Recent honours: 113 competition editions from 2024 to 2026 in club and national team histories, 2026 World Cup included.
- Real award winners: the Ballon d’Or, Kopa and Yashin trophies (2024 and 2025), FIFA The Best and Best Goalkeeper (2023 to 2025), the Golden Boy (2023 to 2025) and UEFA Player of the Season (2024 to 2026), each with its podium.
- Player careers: about 850,000 club seasons for over 300,000 players, up to 2025/26. So history pages show where each player actually played.
- 2026/27 profiles: about 40,000 players develop by one season, based on age, potential, minutes, league level and market value. For example, breakout seasons from Nico Paz, Cubarsí and O’Reilly show, so does a season on the bench, and veterans decline.
- Playable Serie D: finally, all nine groups and 162 clubs of the Italian fourth tier.
However, hidden attributes and personality are not changed. Also, the add-on has no faces, kits or logos, so keep using your usual graphics packs.

Requirements
- FM24 on Steam, on the final patch (24.4.2).
- The sortitoutsi FM24 Data Update, 2026 start edition: it is free and the link is in our update article. ReSeason was tested with the 17 October 2026 version, but the installer tells you if yours is different.
- Windows, or a Mac with Apple Silicon.
- A new career: old saves are not affected.
Windows and Mac: the difference
There is one important detail. FM24 was not built for a career that starts years after its original database. So it throws away the recent award winners and keeps the Ballon d’Or on its old 2023/24 calendar.
On Mac, ReSeason ships a small module that fixes this while the game runs, without changing any game files. On Windows, however, that module does not exist yet. So you get all the data, but the 2023 to 2026 award winners will not show in the award histories, and in your first season the big awards may run on the wrong dates. Still, the author says he is working on a Windows version.
ReSeason download
The download is a zip of about 52 MB, straight from the author’s GitHub. It is free, for non-commercial use.
Download – ReSeason 1.0.4 (FM24)
- First, install the 2026 start data update as explained on its page.
- Then download the ReSeason zip and unzip it anywhere.
- On Windows, open Install.bat. If SmartScreen appears, click More info, then Run anyway. On Mac, open Install.command (the first time, right-click it and choose Open).
- The installer copies the six ReSeason files into your editor data folder, switches off the update’s Italy file (ReSeason replaces it) and checks that everything is right.
- Next, create a new career with every ReSeason and update file ticked in the editor data list.
- Finally, in Advanced Setup, pick the August 2026 start. To play in Serie D, load Italy down to Serie D.
On Mac, the first launch is different. Instead of Steam, open New Career.command, create the career, play one day, save and quit. After that, you can start FM24 from Steam as usual. If the installer does not work on your computer, the project README explains how to do it by hand in three steps.

Using it with other files
If you use more files from the same update, watch out for overlaps. For example, never load the update’s Italy file and the ReSeason one together, or the Italian leagues break. Likewise, if you have the update’s player attributes file, pick only one of the two, because they change the same things.
Also, the update’s country files already have some recent winners. So if a competition’s history shows the same season twice, untick the ReSeason honours file. The README covers each case, and the installer also lists any editor data file it does not know.
Known gaps
- Player careers for 2025/26 are less complete than for earlier seasons.
- Honours cover the main competitions, not every competition in the world.
- Coppa Italia Serie D and the Serie D title playoff are not set up yet.
- The 2026/27 development comes from public match data, not scouting. So players outside the big data feeds develop from their age and ability alone.
Our take
Plenty of people still prefer FM24 to FM26, and FM27 only arrives on 10 November. For them, ReSeason fixes something normal updates do not touch: the recent past. Seeing the real Ballon d’Or podium and the right career histories brings saves to life. However, the project is very new and, on Windows, the awards are still only half there. So try a test career before you put in many hours.
