Maxim Tsigalko: FM21 Tribute

Adds the legendary Maxim Tsigalko of Dinamo Minsk to the FM 2021 database, aged 19 and with the attributes he had in CM 01/02.

The story

As most FM players will have heard, the former Belarusian footballer Maksim Tsyhalka , who became a legend among fans of the popular Championship Manager 01/02 under the name Maxim Tsigalko , has died aged 37.

As old CM and FM players will remember, Tsigalko became an icon among the legion of football fans for his remarkable performances in the 2001/02 edition of Championship Manager, where he was hailed as the game's "greatest player of all time" for his incredible value at a bargain price.

Tsigalko himself didn't know about his star status and only found out when a Russian journalist told him years later, by which time he was working as a bricklayer, earning just €4 a day. He had retired at 26 after a string of injuries, the worst of them (meniscus and ligament) coming in his very first training session during his trial at Marítimo.

RIP Tsigalko.
