Tired of the generic faces on the game’s generated players? NG_Regens gives every newgen and staff member a real face that matches where they come from. Made by cprrylow, it is one of the biggest newgen face packs and already works with FM27, as well as FM26, FM24 and FM23. It is also completely free.

What NG_Regens brings
- Players: around 200,000 player faces across 60 different backgrounds, from Brazil to Japan and the Maghreb.
- Women players: for example, there are also 45,000 faces from 32 backgrounds for women’s football.
- Staff: also, 18,000 faces for managers and other staff, men and women.
- The right face for each country: the app picks each newgen’s face from their nationality and background.
In other words, the players who come through your youth teams no longer have the game’s generated faces. In total there are around 260,000 images, and you can browse examples of each background on the author’s page.
The NG_Regens Manager app
The faces do not reach the game by themselves. So the pack uses its own app, NG_Regens Manager 26v2, which reads your save file and writes the config.xml with each newgen’s face. It runs on Windows, Mac, Linux and Steam Deck, and reads FM27 saves, whether new or carried over from FM26 or FM24.

Also, the game does not need to be running, and you can keep one profile per save. Then the app keeps the faces it has already assigned and only gives new ones to players it has not seen before.

You need two downloads: the picture pack, about 6.8 GB, and the app for your system. The links come from the author’s own server.

- First, extract the pack into
Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 27\graphics, so you end up with agraphics\NG_Regensfolder. - Then open NG_Regens Manager. On first launch, pick your language, FM27, your FM Documents folder and the
NG_Regensfolder. - Next, under «Generate», create a profile for your save and click «Generate & Activate».
- Choose «Load from a save file», pick your save and wait for the scan to finish.
- Finally, when the green confirmation appears, close the app and restart FM27.
Things to watch
The game creates new newgens every season, so run the scan again now and then to give them faces too. However, if a newgen shows an obviously wrong face, it is almost always because FM reused the ID of a retired player. In that case, save your game, run the scan again and restart FM. Also, if you used another face replacement method before, set the game’s graphics settings back to default. Finally, for real players’ faces, add the DF11 faces.
