A package was put together so you can play the 2026/27 season in FM26: the «Season 2026/27», which you already have in our transfer update article. Starting the game on a date one year later did not work with those files, so Stam and the team chose another solution: make everyone one year older and shorten contracts by one year. You start in July 2025, but players and staff are as if it were summer 2026.
The two mods
- All People 1 Year Older (6 MB): everyone in the default database becomes one year older. It works with any transfer update file, not just FMTU.
- All Contracts 1 Year Shorter (5.7 MB): player and staff contracts expire one year sooner. The pack has two variants: one for the latest FMTU file, which leaves loans alone because they already expire a year earlier, and another for anyone using a different transfer update.
They have about 2,800 and 2,200 downloads and work best together with the «Season 2026/27» pack. If the download does not start, turn off your pop-up blocker: the download opens in a new tab.
