Faltava uma semana para a <em>Launch Preview<\/em> gratuita, por isso a pergunta era \u00f3bvia: depois do desastre que foi o FM26, a comunidade ficou convencida?<\/p>\n<p>Fomos ver. Primeiro, lemos os coment\u00e1rios do v\u00eddeo no YouTube e o chat da transmiss\u00e3o na Twitch (mais de cinco mil mensagens). Depois, pass\u00e1mos pelo megat\u00f3pico do r\/footballmanagergames e pelas duas p\u00e1ginas do t\u00f3pico oficial da Launch Preview no f\u00f3rum da SI. Por exemplo, o coment\u00e1rio com mais gostos no YouTube diz que a interface est\u00e1 bem mais limpa e destaca os ecr\u00e3s de finan\u00e7as e de competi\u00e7\u00f5es. No Reddit repete-se a mesma ideia de v\u00e1rias formas: \u00abo FM27 \u00e9 o que o FM26 devia ter sido\u00bb. Al\u00e9m disso, no chat da Twitch, quem gosta de muita informa\u00e7\u00e3o no dia de jogo ficou contente com o novo ecr\u00e3 de partida.<\/p>\n<p>Alguns detalhes pequenos fizeram mais barulho do que seria de esperar. Voltou a ser f\u00e1cil saltar entre plant\u00e9is (A, B, sub-23) na p\u00e1gina do clube, e houve quem celebrasse isso no Reddit, meio a brincar, meio a s\u00e9rio. Tamb\u00e9m agradaram os conselhos do diretor desportivo (<em>DoF<\/em>), o regresso dos atalhos de teclado configur\u00e1veis, o sorteio das ta\u00e7as e o fim das molduras brancas \u00e0 volta dos nomes.<\/p>\n<p>Contudo, nem todos se renderam. Quem jogou anos no FM24 acha que a interface melhorou muito sem chegar l\u00e1. As queixas mais comuns:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>muito espa\u00e7o morto, sobretudo no canto inferior direito do ecr\u00e3 t\u00e1tico durante o jogo;<\/li>\n<li>pouca informa\u00e7\u00e3o nos <em>tiles<\/em> laterais e listas de plantel com poucas colunas por defeito;<\/li>\n<li>o ecr\u00e3 de t\u00e1ticas, que um utilizador do f\u00f3rum comparou, sem piedade, ao do Championship Manager 3;<\/li>\n<li>bolas e c\u00edrculos dos jogadores grandes demais e cores demasiado berrantes no 2D.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>O tamanho do texto voltou a dividir opini\u00f5es. No YouTube h\u00e1 quem diga que continua ileg\u00edvel na televis\u00e3o ou num MacBook. No entanto, outros lembraram logo que o jogo tem uma op\u00e7\u00e3o de <em>text scaling<\/em>, mostrada aos 38 minutos do v\u00eddeo. Por outro lado, para quem joga num monitor grande, o regresso da escala da interface foi recebido como uma boa not\u00edcia.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Motor_de_jogo_as_reacoes_ao_ataque_do_FM27_sao_boas_a_defesa_nem_por_isso\"><\/span>Motor de jogo: as rea\u00e7\u00f5es ao ataque do FM27 s\u00e3o boas, \u00e0 defesa nem por isso<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Aqui o tom muda. Os jogos mostrados tiveram muitos golos e, por isso mesmo, levantaram suspeitas. No YouTube, no Reddit e no f\u00f3rum oficial repete-se a mesma frase: os defesas n\u00e3o marcam ningu\u00e9m. H\u00e1 quem fale num ataque \u00abdemasiado forte\u00bb e numa defesa fraca, com falta de equil\u00edbrio. Outros dizem que n\u00e3o viram um \u00fanico desarme e que os jogadores ainda parecem \u00abdeslizar no gelo\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Um lance em particular apareceu em v\u00e1rios s\u00edtios: um extremo sem op\u00e7\u00f5es na linha vira para dentro e, mesmo com espa\u00e7o, acaba por passar para tr\u00e1s. \u00c9 uma queixa antiga do FM26 e continua l\u00e1. Al\u00e9m disso, no Reddit falou-se de um erro do guarda-redes num golo do Chelsea, e no chat da Twitch sobraram cr\u00edticas ao posicionamento dos laterais junto \u00e0 linha de fundo.<\/p>\n<p>Mesmo assim, h\u00e1 sinais positivos. V\u00e1rios espectadores acharam as anima\u00e7\u00f5es mais fluidas, notaram melhor taxa de imagens do que nos v\u00eddeos anteriores e gostaram de ver os jogadores e o \u00e1rbitro virados uns para os outros nos cart\u00f5es. Do mesmo modo, o 2D apareceu no \u00faltimo jogo e foi muito bem recebido por quem s\u00f3 joga assim, com o detalhe dos est\u00e1dios a ser elogiado. Ainda assim, ficou um pedido repetido: os jogadores ainda celebram (ou n\u00e3o) antes da decis\u00e3o do VAR, o que estraga a surpresa.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"O_que_ficou_igual_e_o_que_ainda_nao_se_viu\"><\/span>O que ficou igual (e o que ainda n\u00e3o se viu)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As confer\u00eancias de imprensa e as conversas com jogadores parecem iguais, e isso desiludiu bastante gente. Um dos maiores c\u00e9ticos do Reddit admitiu que gostou do que viu, mas teme que essas intera\u00e7\u00f5es continuem cheias de erros. Da mesma forma, a caixa de correio foi apontada como apertada nuns casos e vazia noutros.<\/p>\n<p>Muitas perguntas ficaram sem resposta clara: a gest\u00e3o das camadas jovens, o <em>Create a Club<\/em>, os atributos num\u00e9ricos dos treinadores, o ecr\u00e3 de jogos personaliz\u00e1vel e a vers\u00e3o para consolas. Em contrapartida, no chat, a equipa da SI confirmou que a gest\u00e3o de sele\u00e7\u00f5es est\u00e1 de volta e que o <em>editor<\/em> pr\u00e9-jogo, como de costume, s\u00f3 deve chegar com o lan\u00e7amento completo.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Lancamento_gratis_a_decisao_que_pos_toda_a_gente_a_falar\"><\/span>Lan\u00e7amento gr\u00e1tis: a decis\u00e3o que p\u00f4s toda a gente a falar<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Se a transmiss\u00e3o dividiu opini\u00f5es, o an\u00fancio da v\u00e9spera foi quase un\u00e2nime. O FM27 vai poder ser jogado de gra\u00e7a no PC e no Mac de 29 de outubro, a partir das 18h, at\u00e9 3 de novembro, no Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store e Game Pass. J\u00e1 explic\u00e1mos tudo em <a href=\"https:\/\/fmportugal.net\/en\/fm27-gratis-launch-preview\/\">FM27 for free: play the Launch Preview from 29 October to 3 November<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>No f\u00f3rum oficial, at\u00e9 os cr\u00edticos mais duros do FM26 deram os parab\u00e9ns \u00e0 SI. Houve quem admitisse que jurara n\u00e3o fazer pr\u00e9-compra este ano e mudou de ideias, e quem chamasse \u00e0 decis\u00e3o \u00abarrojada\u00bb. Ou seja, a leitura mais comum \u00e9 que a SI n\u00e3o abriria o jogo durante cinco dias se n\u00e3o confiasse nele. Ainda assim, os mais desconfiados lembram que tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 uma forma de recuperar a boa vontade perdida e de p\u00f4r milhares de pessoas a testar o jogo de gra\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>Os detalhes pr\u00e1ticos tamb\u00e9m tranquilizaram muita gente. As saves feitas no per\u00edodo gr\u00e1tis continuam na vers\u00e3o paga e no lan\u00e7amento. Al\u00e9m disso, a pr\u00e9-compra com 10% de desconto deixa continuar a jogar entre 3 e 10 de novembro. No Reddit, v\u00e1rios utilizadores, incluindo alguns que se dizem c\u00e9ticos, acharam-no t\u00f3xico e injusto para os dois apresentadores que deram a cara pelo jogo. Um deles notou que o chat da Twitch parecia ter \u00abmuito mais adultos\u00bb. De facto, quem acompanhou as duas transmiss\u00f5es confirma a diferen\u00e7a: na Twitch, as rea\u00e7\u00f5es ao FM27 vieram com muitas perguntas concretas, piadas sobre o Brighton que a equipa da SI orientou no jogo e muito menos insultos.<\/p>\n<p>Houve ainda quem jurasse que o \u00ablivestream\u00bb tinha sido gravado. Contudo, um membro da equipa da SI respondeu no Reddit que n\u00e3o, e que passou boa parte do dia a montar a transmiss\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"O_que_vem_a_seguir\"><\/span>What comes next<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A 29 de outubro, \u00e0s 18h em Portugal, abre a <em>Launch Preview<\/em> gratuita. Durante cinco dias vais poder jogar \u00e0 vontade e, sobretudo, ver se o motor de jogo defende t\u00e3o mal como pareceu no livestream. A partir de 3 de novembro s\u00f3 continua quem fizer a pr\u00e9-compra (ou tiver Game Pass), e o lan\u00e7amento completo \u00e9 a 10 de novembro.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_nossa_opiniao\"><\/span>Our take<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Depois do FM26, o FM27 n\u00e3o precisava de impressionar: precisava de n\u00e3o assustar, e isso conseguiu. A interface est\u00e1 claramente mais arrumada, voltaram coisas que nunca deviam ter sa\u00eddo, e o 2D finalmente recebeu aten\u00e7\u00e3o. Mesmo assim, tens de ler estas rea\u00e7\u00f5es ao FM27 com alguma dist\u00e2ncia. Afinal, a SI escolheu o que mostrou, os jogos foram em destaques e a defesa j\u00e1 deixou d\u00favidas suficientes para lhe darmos aten\u00e7\u00e3o quando pegarmos no jogo.<\/p>\n<p>A boa not\u00edcia \u00e9 que n\u00e3o precisas de acreditar em ningu\u00e9m, nem em n\u00f3s, nem no chat. With the free <em>Launch Preview<\/em> only a week away, the obvious question was this: after the disaster that was FM26, has the community been won over?<\/p>\n\n<p>We went and checked. We read the comments on the YouTube video, the Twitch stream chat (more than five thousand messages), the r\/footballmanagergames megathread and both pages of the official Launch Preview topic on the SI forums. The short answer: there is optimism, but it is cautious optimism, and the match engine is still taking criticism.<\/p>\n\n<h2>The interface: much better, but still not FM24<\/h2>\n\n<p>This was the most praised area. The most-liked comment on YouTube says the interface is much cleaner and singles out the finance and competition screens. On Reddit the same idea comes up again and again: \u00abFM27 is what FM26 should have been\u00bb. In the Twitch chat, people who like plenty of information on matchday were happy with the new match screen.<\/p>\n\n<p>A few small details made more noise than you might expect. Switching between squads (first team, B team, U21) on the club page is easy again, and some people on Reddit celebrated that, half joking, half serious. The Director of Football advice (<em>DoF<\/em>), the return of customisable keyboard shortcuts, the cup draws and the end of the white boxes around names also went down well.<\/p>\n\n<p>Not everyone is convinced, though. Players who spent years in FM24 feel the interface has improved a lot without getting there. The most common complaints:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>a lot of dead space, especially in the bottom right corner of the in-match tactics screen;<\/li>\n<li>too little information in the side <em>tiles<\/em> and squad lists with few columns by default;<\/li>\n<li>the tactics screen, which one forum user compared, rather harshly, to Championship Manager 3;<\/li>\n<li>player and ball circles that are too big and colours that are too loud in 2D.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Text size split opinion again. On YouTube some say it is still unreadable on a TV or a MacBook, but others were quick to point out that the game has a <em>text scaling<\/em> option, shown 38 minutes into the video. For people on big monitors, the return of interface scaling was welcome news.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Match engine: the attack convinces, the defence does not<\/h2>\n\n<p>This is where the tone changes. The matches shown had plenty of goals, and that is exactly what raised suspicion. On YouTube, Reddit and the official forum the same line keeps coming up: defenders are not marking anyone. Some talk about an attack that is \u00abtoo strong\u00bb and a weak defence, with no balance. Others say they did not see a single tackle and that players still look like they are \u00absliding on ice\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n<p>One move in particular showed up in several places: a winger with no options on the flank cuts inside and, even with space, ends up passing backwards. It is an old FM26 complaint and it is still there. On Reddit there was also talk of a goalkeeper error on a Chelsea goal, and the Twitch chat had plenty to say about full backs defending near the byline.<\/p>\n\n<p>Even so, there are positive signs. Several viewers found the animations more fluid, noticed a better frame rate than in earlier videos and liked seeing players and referees face each other when cards are shown. 2D appeared in the last match and was very well received by those who only play that way, with the stadium detail getting praise. One request kept coming back: players still celebrate (or don't) before the VAR decision, which spoils the surprise.<\/p>\n\n<h2>What stayed the same (and what we haven't seen yet)<\/h2>\n\n<p>Press conferences and player conversations look unchanged, and that disappointed plenty of people. One of the biggest sceptics on Reddit admitted they liked what they saw, but fears those interactions are still full of bugs. The inbox was also described as cramped in some cases and empty in others.<\/p>\n\n<p>Many questions were left without a clear answer: youth management, <em>Create a Club<\/em>, numerical staff attributes, a customisable fixtures screen and the console version. In the chat, the SI team confirmed that international management is back and that the pre-game <em>editor<\/em>, as usual, should only arrive with the full release.<\/p>\n\n<h2>A free launch: the decision everyone is talking about<\/h2>\n\n<p>If the stream divided opinion, the announcement the day before was almost unanimous. FM27 will be free to play on PC and Mac from 6pm GMT on 29 October until 3 November, on Steam, Epic, the Microsoft Store and Game Pass. We explained everything in <a href=\"https:\/\/fmportugal.net\/en\/fm27-gratis-launch-preview\/\">Play FM27 for free: the Launch Preview runs from 29 October to 3 November<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the official forum, even the harshest FM26 critics congratulated SI. One person admitted they had sworn not to pre-order this year and changed their mind, and others called the move \u00abballsy\u00bb. The most common reading is that SI would not open the game up for five days if it did not trust it. The more suspicious point out that it is also a way to win back lost goodwill and get thousands of people testing the game for free.<\/p>\n\n<p>The practical details also reassured a lot of people. Saves made during the free period carry over to the paid version and to launch, and pre-ordering with a 10% discount lets you keep playing between 3 and 10 November. And there was the joke of the week: the eternal \u00abwaiting for the beta\u00bb thread is finally dead.<\/p>\n\n<h2>YouTube chat versus the rest of the internet<\/h2>\n\n<p>A separate topic was the tone of the live YouTube chat. On Reddit, several users, including some self-confessed sceptics, found it toxic and unfair on the two presenters who put their faces to the game. One of them noted that the Twitch chat seemed to have \u00abway more adults\u00bb. Anyone who followed both streams will confirm the difference: Twitch had lots of specific questions and jokes about the Brighton side the SI team managed in the stream, and far fewer insults.<\/p>\n\n<p>Some even swore the \u00ablivestream\u00bb had been pre-recorded. A member of the SI team replied on Reddit that it hadn't, and that they had spent a good part of the day setting the stream up.<\/p>\n\n<h2>What comes next<\/h2>\n\n<p>On 29 October at 6pm GMT, the free <em>Launch Preview<\/em> opens. For five days you can play as much as you like and, above all, see whether the match engine defends as badly as it seemed to in the livestream. From 3 November only those who pre-order (or have Game Pass) can carry on, and the full launch is on 10 November.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Our take<\/h2>\n\n<p>After FM26, FM27 didn't need to impress: it needed not to scare people off, and it managed that. The interface is clearly tidier, things that should never have been removed are back, and 2D finally got some attention. But you should take all this with some distance. SI chose what to show, the matches were played on highlights, and the defending has already raised enough doubts for us to keep an eye on it when we get our hands on the game.<\/p>\n\n<p>The good news is that you don't have to believe anyone, not us and not the chat. In a week you can make up your own mind without spending a penny.
