Assim, alternar com outras janelas deixa de ser um drama.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zoom da interface at\u00e9 4x.<\/strong> Al\u00e9m disso, o texto, as caixas e as imagens s\u00e3o desenhados \u00e0 resolu\u00e7\u00e3o real, por isso ficam n\u00edtidos em vez de esticados.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mem\u00f3ria das defini\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/strong> O tamanho e a posi\u00e7\u00e3o da janela, o modo e o zoom ficam guardados e voltam no arranque seguinte.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Desempenho.<\/strong> Por fim, h\u00e1 corre\u00e7\u00f5es na leitura dos ficheiros do jogo, no motor 2D e no ecr\u00e3 de t\u00e1ticas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>H\u00e1 um pormenor importante: o mod s\u00f3 funciona com o FM 2007 na vers\u00e3o <strong>7.0.2<\/strong>, o \u00faltimo patch oficial. Se tiveres outra vers\u00e3o, o mod deteta-a e n\u00e3o mexe em nada. N\u00e3o precisas de nenhum programa extra.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Se jogas numa janela muito larga, h\u00e1 ainda uma corre\u00e7\u00e3o opcional. Na partida em 2D, o aviso de faltas, cart\u00f5es e foras de jogo aparece repetido duas ou tr\u00eas vezes. Para o corrigir, copia o ficheiro <em>data\\panels\\match notification.xml<\/em> do zip por cima do original do jogo. Antes disso, faz uma c\u00f3pia de seguran\u00e7a do original.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ainda_nao_tens_o_patch_702\"><\/span>Ainda n\u00e3o tens o patch 7.0.2?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>O mesmo autor tem um instalador do patch 7.0.2 j\u00e1 preparado para funcionar no Windows 10 e 11. Em primeiro lugar, falta o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/pt-pt\/download\/details.aspx?id=8109\">DirectX 9.0c<\/a>, que se instala a partir do site da Microsoft mesmo no Windows 10 e 11. Em segundo, o DirectPlay est\u00e1 desligado. Para o ligar, vai ao Painel de Controlo &gt; Programas &gt; Ativar ou desativar funcionalidades do Windows e ativa o DirectPlay.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Definicoes_avancadas\"><\/span>Defini\u00e7\u00f5es avan\u00e7adas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>O ficheiro <em>fm07mod.ini<\/em>, ao lado do <em>fm.exe<\/em>, guarda tudo o que o mod faz. Na maior parte dos casos n\u00e3o precisas de lhe tocar, mas h\u00e1 algumas op\u00e7\u00f5es \u00fateis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>mode<\/em>: arrancar em janela, em ecr\u00e3 inteiro ou com a escolha do pr\u00f3prio jogo.<\/li>\n<li><em>window_width<\/em> and <em>window_height<\/em>: o tamanho da janela ao arrancar (por defeito, 1600\u00d7900).<\/li>\n<li><em>exclusive_fullscreen<\/em>: com 1, volta ao ecr\u00e3 inteiro antigo, que muda a resolu\u00e7\u00e3o do monitor.<\/li>\n<li><em>zoom<\/em>: por defeito segue a escala do Windows; podes fixar, por exemplo, 1.5 para 150%.<\/li>\n<li><em>hires_text<\/em>: com 0, o mod estica a imagem toda em vez de desenhar o texto n\u00edtido.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Como_desinstalar\"><\/span>Como desinstalar<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Basta apagar o <em>dsound.dll<\/em> and <em>fm07mod.ini<\/em> da pasta do jogo. Ainda assim, os coment\u00e1rios mostram que h\u00e1 procura para mais: um jogador j\u00e1 pediu uma vers\u00e3o para o FM 2008, e outro lamentou que o FM 2007 seja o \u00fanico entre o 2005 e o 2008 que n\u00e3o corre no Linux. On a modern screen it either sits in a tiny window or gets stretched and blurry, with text you can barely read. <strong>FM07 HD<\/strong> fixes that. It is a free mod that runs Football Manager 2007 in HD at any resolution, including 2K and 4K, in borderless fullscreen or in a window of any size.<\/p>\n<p>The mod is by paokkerkir, the same author who in 2020 released the fixes that make FM 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 run on Windows 10. Version 1.2 came out on 19 October 2026 and also brings some performance improvements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20931\" src=\"https:\/\/fmportugal.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/fm07-hd-mod-01.jpg\" alt=\"Football Manager 2007 HD at 1440p, with a sharp start screen and the mod's shortcut legend\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>(Image: paokkerkir)<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>What changes in Football Manager 2007 HD<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Any resolution.<\/strong> The 1600\u00d71200 cap is gone: the window can be resized or maximised freely.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Borderless fullscreen.<\/strong> By default, fullscreen becomes a desktop-sized window without changing your monitor's resolution, so switching to other windows is no longer a pain.<\/li>\n<li><strong>UI zoom up to 4x.<\/strong> Text, boxes and images are drawn at full resolution, so they stay sharp instead of stretched.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Settings remembered.<\/strong> Window size and position, mode and zoom are saved and restored on the next launch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Performance.<\/strong> There are fixes to how the game reads its files, to the 2D match engine and to the tactics screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One important detail: the mod only works with FM 2007 on version <strong>7.0.2<\/strong>, the last official patch. If you have another version, the mod detects it and leaves everything untouched. So if your game is not up to date yet, start with the patch (below).<\/p>\n<h2>In-game shortcuts<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ctrl+Alt+=<\/strong> and <strong>Ctrl+Alt+-<\/strong>: zoom in and out.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ctrl+Alt+0<\/strong>: back to 100%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alt+Enter<\/strong>: switch between fullscreen and window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The shortcuts also appear in a small legend on the start screen, as you can see in the image above.<\/p>\n<h2>Download FM07 HD<\/h2>\n<p>The file <em>FM07HD-v1.2.zip<\/em> is about 100 KB and comes straight from the author's GitHub.<\/p>\n<p>[su_button url=\"https:\/\/github.com\/paokkerkir\/FM07-HD\/releases\/download\/v1.2\/FM07HD-v1.2.zip\" target=\"blank\" background=\"#ff00a5\" size=\"6\" icon=\"icon: download\"]Download \u2013 FM07 HD v1.2 (Football Manager 2007)[\/su_button]<\/p>\n[su_box title=\"How to install:\" box_color=\"#ff00a5\"]\n<ol>\n<li>First, make sure your Football Manager 2007 is on version 7.0.2.<\/li>\n<li>Extract all files from the zip into the game folder, next to <em>fm.exe<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Start the game as usual, from the shortcut or with a double-click. No extra program needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n[\/su_box]\n<p>If you play in a very wide window, there is also an optional fix. In the 2D match, the foul, card and offside banner appears two or three times. To fix it, copy <em>data\\panels\\match notification.xml<\/em> from the zip over the game's original. Back up the original first.<\/p>\n<h2>Don't have patch 7.0.2 yet?<\/h2>\n<p>The same author has a 7.0.2 patch installer already prepared to work on Windows 10 and 11. Install the original game first, then apply this patch. It is an <em>.exe<\/em> file, so, as with any executable, run it through your antivirus before opening it.<\/p>\n<p>[su_button url=\"http:\/\/www.mediafire.com\/file\/8ltaw2zwld3jt7m\" target=\"blank\" background=\"#ff00a5\" size=\"6\" icon=\"icon: download\"]Download \u2013 FM 2007 patch 7.0.2 for Windows 10\/11[\/su_button]<\/p>\n<p>If the game opens with the crowd noise but stays on a black screen, the author points to two causes. First, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=8109\">DirectX 9.0c<\/a> is missing, and you can install it from Microsoft's site even on Windows 10 and 11. Second, DirectPlay is turned off. To enable it, go to Control Panel &gt; Programs &gt; Turn Windows features on or off and tick DirectPlay.<\/p>\n<h2>Advanced settings<\/h2>\n<p>The <em>fm07mod.ini<\/em> file, next to <em>fm.exe<\/em>, stores everything the mod does. In most cases you will not need to touch it, but some options are handy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>mode<\/em>: start in a window, in fullscreen or with the game's own choice.<\/li>\n<li><em>window_width<\/em> and <em>window_height<\/em>: the window size at launch (1600\u00d7900 by default).<\/li>\n<li><em>exclusive_fullscreen<\/em>: set to 1 to go back to the old fullscreen that changes the monitor resolution.<\/li>\n<li><em>zoom<\/em>: follows Windows scaling by default; you can fix it at, say, 1.5 for 150%.<\/li>\n<li><em>hires_text<\/em>: set to 0 to scale the whole image instead of drawing sharp text.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to uninstall<\/h2>\n<p>Just delete <em>dsound.dll<\/em> and <em>fm07mod.ini<\/em> from the game folder. If you replaced any <em>.xml<\/em> file, restore your backup.<\/p>\n<h2>What the community is saying<\/h2>\n<p>The author's post on r\/footballmanagergames had 97% approval. Even so, the comments show appetite for more: one player has already asked for an FM 2008 version, and another regretted that FM 2007 is the only one from 2005 to 2008 that does not run on Linux.
