The FM27 PT-BR translation puts Football Manager 27 in Brazilian Portuguese. Made by the community and published by AbreuApps, it installs as a separate language, so it does not replace the European Portuguese that comes with the game. It also covers every text in the game and has passed 700 downloads since it came out.
What the PT-BR translation brings
- Every text: menus, news, press conferences, positions, roles and tactical instructions, in and out of possession.
- Brazilian terms: for example, «zagueiro», «time» and «técnico», instead of the terms used in Portugal.
- An optional plugin: TraducaoLog fixes texts that come from the game’s database, such as injuries, nations, state leagues and weekly awards.
So, with the plugin, «Bahia State» becomes «Estadual Baiano» and «Relatório Grêmio» becomes «Relatório do Grêmio». In other words, the plugin also gets the articles and prepositions right before club names. However, without it, some of those names stay in English.
What is new in version 1.2.3
Version 1.2.3, from 6 November, adds a complete package that is easier to install, plus more text fixes. For example, «Antevisão» became «véspera do jogo» or «prévia», «sofre flu» became «sofre gripe», and sentences with the score read more naturally. Before that, 1.2.1 had already changed «marcar o negócio» to «fechar», «assinar» or «efetivar» in more than 190 texts, and «descoberto» to «aberto» in about 490. Some role names changed too, such as «Corta para dentro» and «Atacante Centralizado». If you already use an older version, just replace the portuguese_br.ltc file and the TraducaoLog folder. Your save is not affected.
FM27 PT-BR translation download
The links come from the author’s GitHub. If you have never used mods, the complete package is the simplest: it already includes the translation, the plugin and BepInEx. If you already use mods, download only the translation and the plugin, because the complete package replaces your BepInEx.

- First, with the complete package, copy the contents of the
1_COPIAR_PARA_PASTA_DO_JOGOfolder into the game folder, next tofm.exe. - Then copy the
portuguese_br.ltcfile intoDocuments\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 27\languages. On Mac and Linux, the author gives the path on the GitHub page. - After that, close FM27 completely and start it again. The first launch can take a few minutes.
- Next, go to Preferences, Language, and choose «Português (Brasil)».
- Finally, if you use the translation and the plugin separately, copy the
TraducaoLogfolder intoBepInEx\plugins.
Things to watch
The translation file does not touch the game’s executables or files. However, BepInEx changes the way the game starts, so back up your save before installing the plugin. If the language does not show up in the list, check that the file is in the right languages folder and restart the game. Finally, translation mistakes can be reported to the author on the GitHub page.
