FM20 Wonderkids: Central Attacking Midfielders
Now it's the turn of the position for the "fantasistas" or "magicians". A large part of your attacking play goes through here: they are usually the thinkers in the team, playing the final pass for a goal.
A good central attacking midfielder needs these qualities:
- Always wants the ball, setting the tempo and flow of the game
- Good at long range shots
- Looks for space between the lines
- Acts, in some situations, as a second striker, breaking through the opposition defence in a possible 2×1 with the striker
- Supports and holds the team together, in attack and defence
- Technically gifted
- Quick to read the game
- Remarkable passing quality
- Closes the central channel in the defensive transition
